We had a blast in Colorado!
We swam, ate and sang all the way to Denver and back! On our way through Iowa we stopped off at the magical field of dreams where John and Shelby got to throw a few pitches, just like in the movie!
We took some breath taking photos at the Garden of the Gods, learned what it is like to be a recruit at the American Air Force Academy, we were lucky enough to see the weekly formation of the guard, Steve even wanted to join in! We had a great time at the Air force Academy and even got gifts for our good behavior! We rocked out at the Hard Rock Café in Denver and found time to visit the Amana colonies on the way home!
Thanks to an idea from Derrick we held our own American Idol on the bus all the way back from Nebraska, the poor bus driver! Once again the campers beat the staff at bowling for the third successive year! The rematch has already been planned and I know that 2008 will be the year that staff win one back! Thanks to all of the campers who made Travel Camp 2007 so memorable, roll on Travel Camp 2008...
