It's About Fun, Friendship, Discovery and Adventure- including fabulous out-of-camp trips. Everyday at Camp Henry Horner brings new adventures that are shared with friends, a place where campers can live experiences they've only had in dreams.
Horner Overnight Camp serves children entering 3rd - 10th grade in 1, 2, 4 and 6 week sessions.
We're just the right size. Big enough to offer all we do, small enough so everyone feels comfortable, even if it just might be a first overnight camp experience. Camp's setting on Wooster Lake in Northern Lake County provides a scenic backdrop to the ultimate overnight experience. There is no need to travel too far from home for a "Real Camp".
And we mean, REAL CAMP. Facilities include a heated pool, high and low ropes challenge course, sports fields, tennis courts, a beach and lakefront offering sailing, boating, fishing and the Glickman Waterworks (featuring inflatable aquatic recreation equipment!), a skate park, cooking, biking, arts center and dance studio.
We provide all the traditional activities associated with camp - campfires, socials, Shabbat, with lots of choice and awesome evening programs. We then -mix it up- with lots of right-this-minute activities and exciting travel adventures. The summer of 2009 will feature trips to the Mall of America, the Wisconsin Dells and Kings Island Amusement Park in Ohio.
