Camp STAR is a collaboration between the Institute for
Juvenile Research at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and JCYS North Shore Day Camp to provide state-of-the-art treatment for children with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other behavioral and social difficulties.
Camp STAR is unique because it combines typical camp activities with evidence-based treatment. Camp STAR is more structured and has a higher staff to camper ratio than most other camps. Children enjoy it tremendously because they feel successful in academics, athletics and social situations.
